DEER

A fawn may appear to be abandoned, however, its mother is usually not far away and will return.  Before “rescuing” a fawn, you have to be very sure that its mother has been either injured or it is deceased and is no longer able to care for her fawn.  When in doubt, please call a rehabilitator. Never feed a fawn cow's milk.  This can cause a lot of harm rather than help. Remember...if it's not a cow, don't feed it cow's milk.
